Phil Ray Jack is currently living in South Fork, Colorado, and is teaching Composition and Reading courses for Adams State University. He owns two horses, Colorado Rose and Midnight Wind.

Besides writing, Jack makes presentations on "The Search for Our True Selves," "Writing as a Process of Discovery," "Discovering Ourselves by Learning about Our Pasts." He is the author of "The Spirit of the Horse" and Other Works, It Seems to Me (a weekly column published in the Valley Courier), and "Soar High" (a blog).
